Description
Past Due marks the first solo release from Wisconsin singer songwriter, Jim Carlson, since his “Out of Fashion” album in 2002.
This four song EP includes three new songs including:
“My Best Friend” – A tribute to one of those ‘friends’ who we all seem to have. Neither a friend, or an enemy…just a constant presence…
“Say a Prayer” – A rare track, occasionally played live, but previously unreleased.
“Love Dies” – A new track recorded live at John McCutcheon’s Songwriting Camp which takes place at the historic Highlander Research and Education Center in New Market, TN. John ‘engineered’ the track.
The EP closes with the song “Name” from Jim’s “Out of Fashion” CD. This version is quite different from the album version, it features John Hocker on Bass and Hunter Dux on banjo. Recorded spontaneously at Limericks Public House, Wausau, WI
Studio tracks recorded at the Creativity Complex in Weston, WI. Released in September 2015 as a limited edition DIY release on the Chill as Folk label, remastered for digital release December 2015.
